The Shekvetili Dendrological Park is located on the Black Sea coast in the Guria region of Georgia, representing one of the most innovative and modern botanical gardens in the Caucasus. Gonio Fortress, located near the Black Sea coast a few kilometers from Batumi, Georgia, is a historically significant monument. Built in the Roman era, this fortification dates from the 1st century AD and is considered one of the oldest archaeological sites in the country. Famous for its defensive design and its connection to the Silk Road, Gonio also houses legends related to the tomb of the Apostle Matthias, making this place a blend of history and myth.
