An 8-day tour through the most emblematic destinations of Georgia, from the vibrant coastal city of Batumi to the historic capital of Tbilisi. This itinerary is designed to immerse you in the culture, nature and traditions of this magical country of the Caucasus. Experience the perfect fusion of modernity and ancient history as you discover stunning landscapes such as the mountains of Borjomi, the monasteries of Kutaisi, and mysterious archaeological sites like Uplistsikhe. Get ready for an unforgettable experience in a land full of cultural richness and incomparable hospitality. You will begin your journey with a transfer from Batumi airport, exploring this beautiful city and its surroundings. From there, you will embark on a tour that includes visits to a local winery, the thermal landscapes of Borjomi, and the spectacular cave complex of Vardzia. In Tbilisi, you will enjoy a guided tour to discover its historical and architectural richness. You will also have the opportunity to explore unique places such as Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia, the impressive Gelati complex, and the mystical Prometheus cave. Everything will culminate with the return to Batumi, where you will end this unforgettable journey through the treasures of Georgia.

Batumi Ethnographic Museum

Museo Etnográfico de Batumi The Borjgalo Ethnographic Museum, located in Batumi, Georgia, is a fascinating space that celebrates Georgian culture and traditions. Created by sculptor Kemal Turmanidze, this museum offers a unique collection of wooden sculptures and interactive exhibitions representing everyday life, traditional crafts and customs of the various regions of the country. Surrounded by a welcoming atmosphere, Borjgalo is ideal for discovering the essence of Georgian life. During our visit we will explore the detailed sculptures, learn about the ancient traditions of Georgia and immerse ourselves in the cultural richness that makes this museum a unique place. "

Gonio Fortress

Fortaleza de Gonio Gonio Fortress, located near the Black Sea coast, a few kilometres from Batumi in Georgia, is a historical monument of great importance. Built during the Roman era, this fortification dates from the 1st century AD and is considered one of the oldest archaeological sites in the country. Famous for its defensive design and its connection to the Silk Road, Gonio also harbours legends related to the tomb of the Apostle Matthias, making this place a blend of history and myth. During our visit we will walk along its ancient walls, explore the archaeological museum and discover the mysteries and legends surrounding this fascinating destination on the Black Sea.

Day 3 - Batumi - Winery - Borjomi - Akhaltsikhe

Baia´s wine Winery

Bodega Baia´s wine In the heart of the Imereti wine region of Georgia, Baia's Wine Winery represents the perfect fusion of millennial tradition and modern viticulture. This family winery, managed by the charismatic Baia Abuladze, has become a benchmark for the production of natural wines using the traditional Georgian method in qvevri (buried clay amphorae) — a technique with 8,000 years of history recognised by UNESCO. Its organic vineyards cultivate indigenous varieties such as Tsolikouri, Krakhuna and Tsitska in mineral-rich soils. During our experience, we will take part in an intimate tasting of their exceptional natural wines, learn about the ancestral winemaking process in qvevri and enjoy authentic Georgian hospitality accompanied by traditional dishes from Imereti.  

Borjomi

Bordjomi Nestled in the picturesque Mtkvari Valley in central Georgia, Borjomi is a legendary thermal destination recognised worldwide for its naturally hot healing mineral waters, which spring from the depths of Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park. This elegant spa town, which reached its peak during the Russian tsarist era of the 19th century, preserves magnificent imperial-style mansions and extensive historic parks. Its mineral water, bottled since 1890, is considered a Georgian national treasure and has been appreciated for centuries for its medicinal properties. During our stay, we will stroll through the romantic Mineral Park, taste the thermal waters directly from the historic springs and explore the pristine trails of the national park, one of the largest in Europe.  

Day 4 - Akhaltsikhe - Vardzia - Khertvisi - Tbilisi

Vardzia

Vardzia Carved into the vertical face of Mount Erusheli, Vardzia emerges as an impressive 12th-century cave monastery town, a symbol of the cultural peak of medieval Georgia during the reign of Queen Tamar. This monastic complex stretches for 500 metres and reaches up to 19 levels in height, housing more than 600 rooms including churches, wine cellars, libraries and an intricate tunnel and irrigation system. The site is particularly notable for the Church of the Dormition, which preserves exceptional 12th-century frescoes, including a famous portrait of Queen Tamar. During our exploration, we will walk through the secret tunnels and staircases connecting the different chambers, discover ancient wine cellars, and marvel at the medieval frescoes that have survived earthquakes and centuries of history in this architectural gem carved into the rock.

Khertvisi Fortress

Fortaleza Khertvisi Khertvisi Fortress, located in the Samtskhe-Javakheti valley, Georgia, is one of the oldest fortresses in the country, with origins dating back to the 2nd century BC. Strategically located at the confluence of the Mtkvari and Paravani rivers, it was an important defence during the medieval period and a key point on the Silk Road. Its imposing walls, towers and panoramic views of the valley make it a symbol of the region's historical resilience. During our visit we will explore the well-preserved structures, climb the towers to admire the landscape and immerse ourselves in the stories that make Khertvisi a place full of charm and history.

Day 5 - Tbilisi - Guided city tour

Rustaveli Avenue

Avenida Rustaveli Rustaveli Avenue, the main artery of Tbilisi, stretches for 1.5 kilometres from Freedom Square to Republic Square. This emblematic street, named after the medieval poet Shota Rustaveli, houses the most prestigious buildings in the city, including the Parliament of Georgia, the Opera Theatre and the National Museum, all built in neoclassical and Art Nouveau style during the 19th century. During our walk, we will enjoy the vibrant Georgian cultural life, stop at its elegant historic cafes and admire the monumental architecture while exploring the numerous shops and art galleries.  

Metekhi Square

Plaza de Metekhi Metekhi Square, one of the most emblematic historic sites in Tbilisi, stands on a cliff with privileged views of the Mtkvari River. This landmark is dominated by the 13th-century church and the equestrian statue of King Vakhtang Gorgasali, the legendary founder of the city. The square was for centuries home to the royal palace, establishing itself as a strategic and cultural centre. Although the original church was built in the 5th century, the structure we can admire today is a 13th-century reconstruction. During our tour, we will delight in the stunning panoramic views of the old town and the famous baths district. We will also explore Metekhi Church and immerse ourselves in the fascinating history of the king who, with his vision, established Tbilisi as the capital of Georgia.  

Narikala Fortress

Fortaleza Narikala Narikala Fortress, the iconic symbol of Tbilisi, has dominated the city skyline since the 4th century. This ancient citadel, originally Persian and later expanded by Arabs and Georgians, rises above a steep hill with views of the Mtkvari River and the old town. Its imposing walls and towers have witnessed the various civilisations that have governed Georgia, including the reconstructed Church of St. Nicholas from the 12th century. During our visit, we will take the cable car up to the fortress, walk along its ancient defensive walls and capture stunning panoramic views of Tbilisi as the sun sets over the city.  

Abanotubani

Abanotubani Abanotubani, the historic sulphur baths district in the heart of old Tbilisi, represents the original core where the Georgian capital was founded. Located on the right bank of the Mtkvari River, this neighbourhood is famous for its characteristic sulphur baths with brick domes that emerge from the ground, witnessing more than 1,500 years of history. The natural thermal waters that spring from the bowels of the earth maintain a constant temperature of 37–40°C, and their healing properties have attracted illustrious visitors such as Alexander Pushkin and Alexandre Dumas. During our visit, we will immerse ourselves in these streets of legendary thermal waters and lose ourselves in the picturesque medieval alleyways that wind between the baths, breathing the most authentic essence of ancient Tbilisi.  

Anchiskhati

Anchiskhati Anchiskhati Basilica, the oldest church in Tbilisi, represents a vital testimony to the Christian history of Georgia since the 6th century. Located in the heart of the old town, this sandstone church, dedicated to the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, owes its name to the miraculous icon of Christ (Anchiskhati) that it housed for centuries. Its three-nave basilica architecture, typically Georgian, is complemented by medieval frescoes and a 17th-century bell tower. During our exploration, we will participate in the mystical atmosphere of the temple, listen to the ancient Georgian polyphonic chants that still resonate in its walls and admire the craftsmanship of its traditional icons.  

Day 6 - Tbilisi - Mtskheta - Uplistsikhe - Gori - Kutaisi

Jvari - Monastery of the Cross

Djvari - Monasterio de la cruz Jvari Monastery, known as the "Monastery of the Cross", is an iconic religious site located near Mtskheta, Georgia, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built in the 6th century on top of a hill, this monastery offers stunning panoramic views of the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers. Considered a masterpiece of medieval Georgian architecture, it is a sacred place that symbolises the adoption of Christianity in Georgia. Svetitskhoveli

Svetitskhoveli Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, located in the ancient capital of Mtskheta, represents the spiritual heart of Georgia and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1994. This majestic 11th-century cathedral, built on the site where the robe of Christ is said to be buried, is an extraordinary example of medieval Georgian architecture, with its tall decorated stone facade, central dome and historic frescoes. During our exploration, we will discover the numerous legends surrounding this sacred place, admire the extraordinary ecclesiastical architecture and witness the ancient religious traditions that still survive in this spiritual centre. Uplistsikhe

Uplistsikhe Located in the Kartli region of central Georgia, Uplistsikhe is an ancient rock-hewn cave city dating from the first millennium BC. This extraordinary archaeological complex, considered one of the oldest settlements in the Caucasus, was an important religious and commercial centre on the historic Silk Road. Its architectural structures include pagan temples, Christian basilicas and civic buildings that reflect the unique fusion of Christian and pagan styles. The city is notable for its street system, secret tunnels and an exceptionally well-preserved Roman theatre. During our visit we will explore the ancient wine cellars, walk through rock-hewn alleyways and marvel at the panoramic views of the Mtkvari River from the top of this natural acropolis, transporting ourselves through more than 3,000 years of Caucasian history. Stalin Museum

Museo de Stalin The Stalin Museum in Gori, the birthplace of the controversial Soviet leader, is one of the last museums dedicated to Josef Stalin in the world. The complex includes the original birthplace, a Soviet palace-style building and Stalin's personal railway carriage. The exhibition houses an extensive collection of personal objects, photographs, historical documents and the death mask of the dictator. During our visit, we will explore the rooms documenting Stalin's life from his youth in Georgia to his Soviet leadership, examine his luxurious armoured railway carriage and reflect on the complex historical legacy he left in the region. Bagrati Cathedral

Catedral de Bagrati Dominating the Kutaisi skyline from the Ukimerioni hill, the majestic Bagrati Cathedral represents a masterpiece of medieval Georgian architecture and a symbol of the Golden Age of the country. Built during the reign of King Bagrat III in the 11th century, this Orthodox church exemplifies the grandeur of the classic Georgian architectural style with its characteristic central dome and elaborate stone reliefs. Although it was partially reconstructed in 2012, it retains its significance as one of the most important monuments of Georgia and was part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. During our visit, we will contemplate the spectacular panoramic views of Kutaisi from its terraces, admire the architectural details that fuse ancient and modern elements, and experience the serenity of this sacred space that has witnessed more than a thousand years of history.
