This 7-day itinerary is designed to show you the best of its capital, Tbilisi, and the most fascinating regions of the country. From the ancient cobblestone streets of Mtskheta, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to the impressive canyons of Okatse and Martvili, every day will be a new adventure blending tradition, nature and modernity. Throughout this journey, you will immerse yourself in the rich Georgian culture, explore historical monasteries, enjoy mountain landscapes and experience the vibrant atmosphere of the coastal city of Batumi. The ideal trip for those seeking a perfect balance between culture and nature!

The journey begins with a transfer from Tbilisi Airport to the capital, where you will have the opportunity to discover its historic centre on a Spanish-guided tour. On the third day, you will explore the ancient city of Mtskheta, the cave city of Uplistsikhe, and the Soviet legacy of Gori. You will then head to the western part of the country, visiting the spectacular landscapes of Okatse and Martvili, before reaching the modern Batumi on the Black Sea coast. There you will discover its unique blend of contemporary architecture and traditional charm. On the return journey to Tbilisi, you will be amazed by the Dendrological Park and the picturesque monastery of Ubisa. Every corner of this itinerary is designed to offer you unforgettable memories and magical moments!

Day 1 - Transfer from Tbilisi Airport to the capital

Day 2 - Tbilisi - Spanish-guided tour

Rustaveli Avenue

Avenida Rustaveli Rustaveli Avenue, the main thoroughfare of Tbilisi, stretches 1.5 kilometres from Freedom Square to Republic Square. This emblematic street, named after the medieval poet Shota Rustaveli, is home to the city's most prestigious buildings, including the Parliament of Georgia, the Opera House and the National Museum, all built in neoclassical and Art Nouveau style during the 19th century. During our walk, we will enjoy the vibrant Georgian cultural life, stop at its elegant historic cafés and admire the monumental architecture while exploring the numerous shops and art galleries.

Metekhi Square

Plaza de Metekhi Metekhi Square, one of the most emblematic historic places in Tbilisi, rises on a cliff with privileged views of the Mtkvari river. This landmark is dominated by the 13th-century church and the equestrian statue of King Vakhtang Gorgasali, the legendary founder of the city. The square was for centuries the home of the royal palace, establishing itself as a strategic and cultural centre. Although the original church was built in the 5th century, the structure we can admire today is a 13th-century reconstruction. During our tour, we will delight in the impressive panoramic views of the old town and the famous bath district. We will also explore the Metekhi church and immerse ourselves in the fascinating history of the king who established Tbilisi as the capital of Georgia.

Narikala Fortress

Fortaleza Narikala Narikala Fortress, iconic symbol of Tbilisi, has dominated the city's skyline since the 4th century. This ancient citadel, originally Persian and later expanded by Arabs and Georgians, rises on a steep hill overlooking the Mtkvari river and the old town. Its imposing walls and towers have witnessed the diverse civilisations that have ruled Georgia, including the reconstructed St Nicholas Church from the 12th century. During our visit, we will ascend by cable car to the fortress, walk along its ancient defensive walls and capture breathtaking panoramic views of Tbilisi as the sun sets over the city.

Abanotubani

Abanotubani Abanotubani, the historic sulphur bath district in the heart of old Tbilisi, represents the original core where the Georgian capital was founded. Located on the right bank of the Mtkvari river, this neighbourhood is famous for its distinctive sulphur baths with brick domes emerging from the ground, witnessing over 1,500 years of history. The natural thermal springs that bubble up from the earth's interior maintain a constant temperature of 37-40°C, and their healing properties have attracted illustrious visitors such as Alexander Pushkin and Alexandre Dumas. During our visit, we will immerse ourselves in these streets of legendary thermal waters and lose ourselves in the picturesque medieval alleyways that wind between the baths, breathing in the most authentic essence of old Tbilisi.  

Anchiskhati

Anchiskhati The Anchiskhati Basilica, the oldest church in Tbilisi, represents a vital testament to Georgia's Christian history since the 6th century. Located in the heart of the old town, this sandstone church, dedicated to the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, owes its name to the miraculous icon of Christ (Anchiskhati) that it housed for centuries. Its typically Georgian three-nave basilica architecture is complemented by medieval frescoes and a 17th-century bell tower. During our exploration, we will participate in the mystical atmosphere of the temple, listen to the ancient Georgian polyphonic chants that still resonate in its walls and admire the craftsmanship of its traditional icons.  

Day 3 - Tbilisi - Mtskheta - Uplistsikhe - Gori - Kutaisi

Djvari - Monastery of the Cross

Djvari - Monasterio de la cruz The Djvari Monastery, known as the "Monastery of the Cross", is an iconic religious site located near Mtskheta, Georgia, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built in the 6th century atop a hill, this monastery offers impressive panoramic views of the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers. Considered a masterpiece of medieval Georgian architecture, it is a sacred site symbolising the adoption of Christianity in Georgia. During our visit, we will explore its unique architectural design, enjoy the spectacular views and learn about its deep historical and spiritual significance. Route 13KM 0 Hours and 18 Minutes

Svetitskhoveli

Svetitskhoveli The Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, located in the ancient capital of Mtskheta, represents the spiritual heart of Georgia and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1994. This majestic 11th-century cathedral, built on the site where Christ's robe is said to be buried, is an extraordinary example of medieval Georgian architecture, with its tall decorated stone facade, central dome and historic frescoes. During our exploration, we will discover the many legends surrounding this sacred site, admire the extraordinary ecclesiastical architecture and witness the ancient religious traditions that still live on in this spiritual centre. Uplistsikhe

Uplistsikhe Located in the Kartli region of central Georgia, Uplistsikhe is an ancient rock-cut cave city dating back to the first millennium BC. This extraordinary archaeological complex, considered one of the oldest settlements in the Caucasus, was an important religious and commercial centre on the historic Silk Road. Its architectural structures include pagan temples, Christian basilicas and civil buildings reflecting the unique fusion of Christian and pagan styles. The city is notable for its street system, secret tunnels and an exceptionally well-preserved Roman theatre. During our visit we will explore the ancient wine cellars, walk through stone-carved alleyways and marvel at the panoramic views of the Mtkvari river from atop this natural acropolis, transporting us through more than 3,000 years of Caucasian history. Stalin Museum

Museo de Stalin The Stalin Museum in Gori, birthplace of the controversial Soviet leader, is one of the last museums in the world dedicated to Josef Stalin. The complex includes the original birthplace home, a Soviet palace-style building and Stalin's personal railway carriage. The exhibition houses an extensive collection of personal objects, photographs, historical documents and the original death mask of the dictator. During our visit, we will explore the halls documenting Stalin's life from his youth in Georgia to his Soviet leadership, examine his luxurious armoured railway carriage and reflect on the complex historical legacy he left in the region. Okatse Canyon

Okatse Cañón The Okatse Canyon, located in the Imereti region of Georgia, is a natural wonder offering spectacular views of a deep gorge surrounded by lush vegetation. This impressive canyon features a 700-metre suspended walkway that allows visitors to walk at height and enjoy panoramic views of waterfalls and the river flowing below. An ideal destination for nature and adventure lovers. During our visit we will walk the suspended pathway, admire the magnitude of the canyon and enjoy the unique connection with nature that this spectacular place offers. "

Martvili Canyon

Martvili Cañón The Martvili Canyon, located in the Samegrelo region of Georgia, is a natural wonder known for its turquoise waters and impressive waterfalls. This canyon, formed by thousands of years of erosion, offers a dreamlike setting surrounded by lush vegetation. Visitors can enjoy boat rides along the Abasha river, explore scenic trails and marvel at the unique rock formations and local legends associated with the place. During our visit we will sail on its crystal-clear waters, walk through its nature-surrounded paths and enjoy the serenity and incomparable beauty of Martvili Canyon.

Ethnographic Museum of Batumi

Museo Etnográfico de Batumi The Borjgalo Ethnographic Museum, located in Batumi, Georgia, is a fascinating space celebrating Georgian culture and traditions. Created by sculptor Kemal Turmanidze, this museum offers a unique collection of wooden sculptures and interactive exhibitions representing the daily life, traditional crafts and customs of the country's various regions. In a welcoming atmosphere, Borjgalo is ideal for discovering the essence of Georgian life. During our visit we will explore the detailed sculptures, learn about Georgia's ancestral traditions and immerse ourselves in the cultural richness that makes this museum a unique place. "

Gonio Fortress

Fortaleza de Gonio Gonio Fortress, located near the Black Sea coast, a few kilometres from Batumi in Georgia, is a historical monument of great significance. Built in the Roman era, this fortification dates from the 1st century AD and is considered one of the oldest archaeological sites in the country. Famous for its defensive design and connection to the Silk Road, Gonio also houses legends related to the tomb of the Apostle Matthias, making this place a blend of history and myth. During our visit we will walk along its ancient walls, explore the archaeological museum and discover the mysteries and legends surrounding this fascinating destination by the Black Sea.

Day 6 - Batumi - Dendrological Park - Ubisa - Tbilisi

Shekvetili Dendrological Park

Parque dendrógico de Shekvetili The Shekvetili Dendrological Park is located on the Black Sea coast in the Guria region of Georgia, representing one of the most innovative and modern botanical gardens in the Caucasus. This fascinating green space, opened in 2020, covers 60 hectares where more than 200 species of exotic plants are displayed in various microclimates and themed environments. The park is distinguished by its state-of-the-art tropical greenhouse, Japanese gardens and impressive collection of giant bamboo and palm trees. During our tour, we will marvel at the elevated walkways among the treetops, explore Georgia's largest hedge maze and enjoy panoramic views from the observation tower overlooking the entire botanical complex.

Ubisa Monastery

Monasterio Ubisa The Ubisa Monastery, located in the Imereti region of Georgia, is a monastic complex founded in the 9th century. This monastery is famous for its 14th-century frescoes depicting biblical scenes in the distinctive artistic style of the medieval Georgian school. Surrounded by serene mountain scenery, Ubisa combines art, spirituality and architecture in a setting that invites contemplation and admiration of its millenary history. During our visit we will explore the meticulously preserved frescoes, learn about the rich spiritual tradition of Georgia and enjoy the tranquillity that envelops this historic place.
