An unforgettable 18-day journey through the Great Caucasus, taking you from the modern skyline of Baku to the medieval monasteries of Georgia. This itinerary is designed for travelers who want to dive deep into the history, culture, and nature of two extraordinary countries: Azerbaijan and Georgia. From the mud volcanoes of Gobustan to the Gergeti Trinity Church at the foot of Mount Kazbegi — every day brings new discoveries.

The route covers Baku with its UNESCO-listed Old City, the Absheron Peninsula, Gobustan, Sheki with the Khan's Summer Palace, the wine region of Kakheti with Signagi, Tbilisi with a guided tour in Spanish, Mtskheta (UNESCO), Uplistsikhe, the Stalin Museum in Gori, the cave city of Vardzia, the Kazbegi region with the Gergeti Trinity Church, and Kutaisi with the Bagrati Cathedral and Gelati Academy (both UNESCO).

Itinerario

Day 1 - Transfer from Baku Airport to Baku

Total distance for the day - 20KM 0 Hours and 30 Minutes Transfer from Heydar Aliyev International Airport to Baku at the scheduled time. Check-in and rest.

Day 2 - Baku / Absheron / Baku

Total distance for the day - 94KM Visit the Shirvanshah Palace, the Ateshgah Fire Temple, the Yanardag Fire Mountain, and the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Centre. Stop at Yashil Bazar (Green Market).

Day 3 - Baku / Gobustan / Baku

Total distance for the day - 204KM Gobustan National Park with its 40,000-year-old petroglyphs (UNESCO), Rock Art Museum, mud volcanoes, and the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum.

Day 4 - Baku / Shamakhi / Sheki

Total distance for the day - 347KM Diri Baba Mausoleum (15th century, carved into the cliff) in Maraza, Seven Domes Mausoleum (18th century) in Shamakhi. In Sheki: Khan's Summer Palace (18th century, unique stained glass), Albanian Church of Kish (1st century).

Day 5 - Sheki / Lagodekhi / Signagi / Tbilisi

Total distance for the day - 267KM Cross the Lagodekhi border into Georgia. Signagi, the walled "City of Love" in the Kakheti wine region, Bodbe Monastery (tomb of Saint Nino). Continue to Tbilisi.

Day 6 - Guided tour in Spanish through Tbilisi

Guided tour of Tbilisi: Rustaveli Avenue, Metekhi Church, Narikala Fortress, Abanotubani (sulfur baths), Anchiskhati Basilica. Free time to explore the old town.

Day 7 - Tbilisi / Ananuri / Kazbegi / Gudauri / Tbilisi

Total distance for the day - 321KM Ananuri Fortress, Gergeti Trinity Church at the foot of Mount Kazbegi (2,170 m). Return to Tbilisi.

Day 8 - Tbilisi / Mtskheta / Uplistsikhe / Gori / Kutaisi

Total distance for the day - 267KM Jvari Monastery (UNESCO), Svetitskhoveli Cathedral in Mtskheta (UNESCO), Uplistsikhe cave city, Stalin Museum in Gori. Continue to Kutaisi.

Day 9 - Kutaisi / Okatse / Martvili / Kutaisi

Total distance for the day - 130KM Okatse Canyon with its suspension bridge and viewing platform, Martvili Canyon with a boat ride on the turquoise river.

Day 10 - Kutaisi / Bagrati / Gelati / Prometheus / Borjomi / Akhaltsikhe

Total distance for the day - 240KM #N/D #N/D Bagrati Cathedral (UNESCO), Gelati Academy (UNESCO), Prometheus Cave, Borjomi (mineral water park). Continue to Akhaltsikhe.

Day 11 - Akhaltsikhe / Vardzia / Khertvisi / Akhaltsikhe

Total distance for the day - 193KM #N/D #N/D Vardzia, Queen Tamar's cave city (12th century), Khertvisi Fortress (2nd century BC). Return to Akhaltsikhe.

Day 12 - Akhaltsikhe / Bavra / Gyumri

Cross the Bavra border into Armenia. Walk through Gyumri, Armenia's second-largest city with its 19th-century architecture.

Day 13 - Gyumri / Dilijan / Sevan / Yerevan

Dilijan (the "Switzerland of Armenia"), Goshavank Monastery. Lake Sevan (the "Sea of Armenia"), Sevanavank Monastery. Continue to Yerevan.

Day 14 - Yerevan / Khor Virap / Noravank / Areni

Khor Virap Monastery with views of Mount Ararat, Noravank Monastery (13th century), Areni Cave (world's oldest winery).

Day 15 - Yerevan / Echmiadzin / Zvartnots / Saghmosavank / Haghpat / Sadakhlo / Tbilisi

Echmiadzin Cathedral (UNESCO), Zvartnots ruins (UNESCO), Saghmosavank Monastery, Haghpat Monastery (UNESCO). Cross the Sadakhlo border back into Georgia. Arrive in Tbilisi.

Day 16 - Tbilisi / Ananuri / Kazbegi / Tbilisi

Second visit to the Kazbegi region: Ananuri Fortress on the Zhinvali reservoir, Gergeti Trinity Church (2,170 m). Return to Tbilisi.

Day 17 - Tbilisi / Kutaisi / Batumi

Drive through western Georgia to Batumi, the "Pearl of the Black Sea". Free time to explore the boulevard and old town.

Day 18 - Batumi Airport

Transfer to Batumi International Airport. End of the tour.
