Situated in the Ararat Valley, this city combines Soviet architecture, modern boulevards and ancient monuments, such as the iconic Republic Square and the impressive Cascade. Famous for its welcoming atmosphere, open-air cafes and views of Mount Ararat, Yerevan is known as one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. During our visit, we will stroll through its lively streets, explore historical monuments and enjoy authentic Armenian hospitality while tasting local delicacies and appreciating the unique essence of this fascinating city. Armenian Genocide Museum

Museo del Genocidio Armenio The Armenian Genocide Museum, located within the Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex in Yerevan, Armenia, is a solemn space dedicated to commemorating and educating about the 1915 Armenian Genocide. This museum presents documents, photographs and testimonies that recount the tragic events and the resistance of the Armenian people. Its modern architectural design and its hilltop position overlooking the city reinforce its atmosphere of reflection and respect. During our visit we will walk through its moving exhibitions, honour the memory of the victims and deepen our understanding of this important chapter to grasp its impact on Armenian identity. Tsitsernakaberd - Victory Park

Tsitsernakaberd - Parque de victoria Erected on a hill overlooking Yerevan, the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial is a solemn monument dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide. This memorial complex, inaugurated in 1967, consists of a 44-metre needle symbolising the rebirth of the Armenian people, and a circle of twelve inclined basalt slabs surrounding an eternal flame. The complex includes the Genocide Museum-Institute, which houses important historical documents and testimonies. The surrounding park, known as Victory Park, complements the memorial with its Avenue of Memory Trees, where world dignitaries have planted trees as a sign of solidarity. During our visit, we will walk in silent respect through the memorial, observe the eternal flame burning in memory of the victims and reflect on history while taking in the breathtaking views of Mount Ararat from the gardens. Garni

Garni Garni, located in the Kotayk region of Armenia, is an iconic destination known for its 1st-century pagan temple, unique in the South Caucasus. Surrounded by impressive landscapes, including the Azat River gorge and the famous ""Symphony of Stones"", Garni combines history, culture and nature in a spectacular setting. Geghard

Geghard Geghard, located in the Kotayk region of Armenia, is a medieval monastery declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Founded in the 4th century and partly carved out of the rock, this sacred place is distinguished by its impressive architecture, which fuses nature and art. Its name, meaning ""monastery of the spear"", relates to the relic said to have pierced the side of Christ. Surrounded by mountain landscapes and a mystical atmosphere, Geghard is a symbol of Armenian spirituality. Echmiadzin

Located in the Armavir region, it is home to the Cathedral of Echmiadzin, considered the oldest Christian church in the world, built in the 4th century. This important spiritual and cultural centre features impressive architecture and a rich heritage, reflecting Armenia's deep Christian history. It is a must-visit destination for lovers of history and religion. Zvartnots Temple

Templo Zvartnots Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the majestic Temple of Zvartnots was built in the 7th century near Echmiadzin, Armenia, representing the pinnacle of medieval Armenian architecture. This unique monument, whose name means 'Temple of the Vigilant Angels', was distinguished by its innovative three-tiered circular design reaching 45 metres in height, setting new architectural standards for its era. Although now in ruins following its collapse in the 10th century due to an earthquake, its imposing remains, finely carved capitals and pioneering use of arches and vaults demonstrate the sophistication of ancient Armenia. During our exploration, we will walk among the massive columns that once supported this architectural marvel, admire the delicate reliefs of vines and pomegranates, and transport ourselves to the splendour of the ancient Kingdom of Armenia as Mount Ararat appears on the horizon. Oshakan

Amberd Perched at 2,300 metres on the slopes of Mount Aragats in Armenia, the Amberd Fortress is an extraordinary 7th-century military structure that dominates the surrounding landscape with its imposing basalt walls. This 'castle in the clouds' (the literal meaning of its name) represents a masterpiece of medieval Armenian military architecture, complemented by an 11th-century church and a sophisticated water supply system. During our visit, we will climb the ancient paths to the fortress, explore its mysterious ruins while clouds drift around us and marvel at the breathtaking views of Mount Ararat and the Ararat Valley stretching below. This medieval monastic complex is distinguished by its extraordinary manuscript library and its gavit decorated with intricate reliefs, being one of the finest examples of Armenian cultural flourishing under the Zakarian dynasty. Its strategic location above the gorge and its distinctive reddish volcanic stone make it a unique testament to Armenian religious architecture. Rustaveli Avenue

Avenida Rustaveli Rustaveli Avenue, the main artery of Tbilisi, stretches 1.5 kilometres from Freedom Square to Republic Square. This iconic street, named after the medieval poet Shota Rustaveli, is home to the city's most prestigious buildings, including the Parliament of Georgia, the Opera Theatre and the National Museum, all built in neoclassical and Art Nouveau style during the 19th century. During our stroll, we will enjoy the vibrant Georgian cultural life, stop at elegant historic cafes and admire the monumental architecture while exploring the numerous shops and art galleries.

Metekhi Square

Plaza de Metekhi Metekhi Square, one of the most iconic historic sites in Tbilisi, rises on a cliff with commanding views of the Mtkvari River. This landmark is dominated by the 13th-century church and the equestrian statue of King Vakhtang Gorgasali, the legendary founder of the city. The square was for centuries the home of the royal palace, establishing itself as a strategic and cultural hub. Although the original church was built in the 5th century, the structure we see today is a 13th-century reconstruction. During our tour, we will delight in the breathtaking panoramic views of the old town and the famous baths district. We will also explore the Metekhi Church and immerse ourselves in the fascinating history of the king who, with his vision, established Tbilisi as the capital of Georgia, forging one of the most representative places of Georgian heritage.

Narikala Fortress

Fortaleza Narikala Narikala Fortress, the iconic symbol of Tbilisi, has dominated the city skyline since the 4th century. This ancient citadel, originally Persian and later expanded by Arabs and Georgians, rises on a steep hill overlooking the Mtkvari River and the old town. Its imposing walls and towers have witnessed the various civilisations that have ruled Georgia, including the reconstructed Church of St Nicholas from the 12th century. During our visit, we will ride the cable car up to the fortress, walk along its ancient defensive walls and capture breathtaking panoramic views of Tbilisi as the sun sets over the city.

Abanotubani

Abanotubani Abanotubani, the historic sulphur baths district in the heart of old Tbilisi, represents the original nucleus where the Georgian capital was founded. Located on the right bank of the Mtkvari River, this neighbourhood is famous for its distinctive sulphur baths with brick domes emerging from the ground, witnesses to more than 1,500 years of history. The natural thermal waters that spring from the earth maintain a constant temperature of 37–40°C, and their healing properties have attracted illustrious visitors such as Alexander Pushkin and Alexandre Dumas. During our visit, we will wander through these streets of legendary thermal waters and lose ourselves in the picturesque medieval alleyways that wind between the baths, breathing in the most authentic essence of ancient Tbilisi.  

Anchiskhati

Anchiskhati Anchiskhati Basilica, the oldest church in Tbilisi, represents a vital testimony to Georgia's Christian history since the 6th century. Located in the heart of the old town, this sandstone church, dedicated to the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, owes its name to the miraculous icon of Christ (Anchiskhati) it housed for centuries. Its typically Georgian three-nave basilica architecture is complemented by medieval frescoes and a 17th-century bell tower. During our exploration, we will absorb the mystical atmosphere of the temple, listen to the ancient Georgian polyphonic chants that still echo in its walls and admire the craftsmanship of its traditional icons.  

Day 6 - Tbilisi - Ananuri - Kazbegi - Tbilisi

Ananuri

Ananuri Ananuri, an impressive medieval fortress located 66 kilometres from Tbilisi, rises majestically above the Zhinvali Reservoir along the historic Georgian Military Highway. This 13th-century architectural complex, which served as the seat of the eristavi (dukes) of Aragvi, combines defensive elements with extraordinary examples of Georgian religious architecture, highlighted by its main church with intricate stone reliefs and well-preserved frescoes. During our visit, we will explore the fortified towers, admire the panoramic views of the turquoise reservoir and discover the secrets of medieval Georgian architecture as we stroll through its ancient cobbled courtyards.  

Gergeti Trinity Church

Trinidad de Gergeti The Gergeti Trinity Church stands majestically at 2,170 metres in the shadow of Kazbegi Mountain (5,047m). This iconic 14th-century temple, situated in the historic Khevi region, is one of the most recognisable symbols of Georgia, standing out for its remote location and traditional Georgian architecture against the backdrop of the snow-capped Caucasus mountains. During our excursion, we will drive up in a 4x4 along the winding mountain road, explore the ancient monastic complex and take in the panoramic views of the surrounding glaciers and peaks.  

Day 7 - Tbilisi - Mtskheta - Uplistsikhe - Gori - Kutaisi

Svetitskhoveli

Svetitskhoveli Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, located in the ancient capital of Mtskheta, represents the spiritual heart of Georgia and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1994. Uplistsikhe

Uplistsikhe Located in the Kartli region of central Georgia, Uplistsikhe is an ancient rock-carved cave city dating from the first millennium BC. This extraordinary archaeological complex, considered one of the oldest settlements in the Caucasus, was an important religious and commercial centre on the historic Silk Road. Its architectural structures include pagan temples, Christian basilicas and civic buildings that reflect the unique fusion of Christian and pagan styles. The city is notable for its street system, secret tunnels and an exceptionally well-preserved Roman theatre. During our visit we will explore the ancient wine cellars, walk through rock-carved alleyways and marvel at the panoramic views of the Mtkvari River from the top of this natural acropolis, transporting us through more than 3,000 years of Caucasian history. Stalin Museum

Museo de Stalin The Stalin Museum in Gori, the birthplace of the controversial Soviet leader, is one of the last museums dedicated to Josef Stalin in the world. The complex includes the original birthplace, a Soviet palatial-style building and Stalin's personal railway carriage. The exhibition houses an extensive collection of personal objects, photographs, historical documents and the original death mask of the dictator. During our visit, we will explore the halls documenting Stalin's life from his youth in Georgia to his Soviet leadership, examine his luxurious armoured railway carriage and reflect on the complex historical legacy he left in the region. During our visit we will cross the suspended walkway, admire the scale of the canyon and enjoy the unique connection with nature that this spectacular place offers. "

Martvili Canyon

Martvili Cañón Martvili Canyon, located in the Samegrelo region of Georgia, is a natural wonder known for its turquoise waters and impressive waterfalls. This canyon, shaped by thousands of years of erosion, offers a dreamlike setting surrounded by lush vegetation. Visitors can enjoy boat rides along the Abasha River, explore scenic trails and marvel at the unique rock formations and local legends associated with the site. Ushguli

Ushguli Nestled at 2,200 metres above sea level, Ushguli is distinguished as one of the highest permanently inhabited settlements in Europe, located in the remote Svaneti region of Georgia. This cluster of medieval villages, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, captivates with its more than 20 12th-century stone defensive towers, characteristic symbols of Svan architecture that rise majestically against the backdrop of Mount Shkhara, Georgia's highest peak. The village preserves intact the traditions, language and customs of the ancient Svan culture, resisting the passage of time. During our exploration, we will stay in traditional local homes, hike to the Shkhara Glacier, photograph the impressive sunrise over the medieval towers and share unique moments with the inhabitants of this community that keeps the spirit of ancient Svaneti alive.

During our visit we will admire its grand architecture, explore the nearby viewpoints and enjoy the majestic landscape that makes the Enguri Dam a fascinating place to discover. "

Dadiani Palace

Palacio de los Dadianis The Dadiani Palace, located in Zugdidi, Georgia, is a magnificent historic complex that served as the residence of the Dadiani family, rulers of Samegrelo. Built in the 19th century, this palace combines European and Georgian architectural elements. Today it houses the Museum of History and Architecture, which exhibits unique artefacts including Napoleon Bonaparte's death mask. Surrounded by lush gardens, this site is a testament to the cultural splendour of the region. During our visit we will walk through its elegant halls, explore the art and historical artefact collection and enjoy the gardens surrounding this imposing palace.

Vardzia Carved into the vertical face of Mount Erusheli, Vardzia emerges as a remarkable 12th-century cave monastery city, a symbol of the cultural peak of medieval Georgia during the reign of Queen Tamar. This monastic complex stretches over 500 metres and reaches up to 19 levels in height, housing more than 600 rooms including churches, wine cellars, libraries and an intricate system of tunnels and irrigation. The site is especially notable for the Church of the Dormition, which preserves exceptional 12th-century frescoes, including a famous portrait of Queen Tamar. During our exploration, we will walk through the tunnels and secret stairways connecting the different chambers, discover ancient wine cellars, and marvel at the medieval frescoes that have survived earthquakes and centuries of history in this rock-carved architectural jewel.

Walk through Gyumri

Paseo por Gyumri Gyumri, the second largest city in Armenia, sits on the fertile Shirak plain, standing out as a cultural and historical treasure that reflects the country's rich heritage. This ancient city, formerly known as Alexandropol and Leninakan, preserves an impressive collection of 19th-century architecture in its distinctive black tuff stone style, having survived devastating earthquakes that have shaped its history. The historic centre, known as Kumayri, captivates with its cobbled streets, stately buildings and the magnificent Church of the Holy Apostles. During our walk through its historic streets, we will explore the lively local markets, sample authentic Shirak cuisine in traditional restaurants and immerse ourselves in the vibrant artistic atmosphere that has made Gyumri the cultural capital of Armenia.

Dilijan

Diliján Known as the ""Little Switzerland of Armenia"", Dilijan is a charming spa town located in the Tavush province of northern Armenia. Surrounded by the dense forested mountains of Dilijan National Park, which cover more than 24,000 hectares of lush nature, this historic town is distinguished by its traditional Armenian architecture, with 19th-century wooden and stone houses adorning its winding streets. These carefully preserved buildings display the characteristic carved balconies and ornate windows that reflect the region's rich craft tradition. The town has for centuries been an important cultural and healing centre, famous for its healing mineral springs and pure mountain air, attracting artists, composers and writers seeking inspiration. Dilijan's unique microclimate, characterised by cool summers and mild winters, combined with its renowned mineral springs rich in bicarbonate and calcium, has made the town a preferred destination for health tourism since the Soviet era. During our stay, we will stroll through the picturesque restored old town, where every corner tells a story of traditional Armenia, sample the famous local mineral waters at historic fountains and venture along forest trails leading to centuries-old monasteries. The well-marked paths of the National Park offer routes for all levels, from gentle walks to challenging mountain hikes, allowing us to experience the perfect fusion of nature and Armenian culture. We will also have the opportunity to visit local craft workshops, where master artisans continue to practise traditional techniques passed down through generations.

Day 14 - Yerevan - Khor Virap - Areni Cave - Noravank - Yerevan

Khor Virap

Khor Virap Khor Virap, situated on the Ararat Plain in Armenia, is one of the country's most iconic monasteries, with a rich history linked to Christianity. This site, where Saint Gregory the Illuminator was imprisoned before converting Armenia into the first Christian nation, offers spectacular views of Mount Ararat. Its strategic location and deep spiritual significance make it an important destination for pilgrims and tourists alike. During our visit we will explore the ancient underground cells, admire the breathtaking view of Mount Ararat and discover the history that makes Khor Virap a sacred and unforgettable place. Areni Cave

Cueva de Areni Areni Cave, located in the Vayots Dzor region of Armenia, is an archaeological site of great historical importance. Known as one of the oldest settlements in the world, this cave is famous for the discovery of the world's oldest winery, dating back more than 6,000 years. Fascinating prehistoric artefacts have also been found that reveal the origins of viticulture and life in the Copper Age. Surrounded by mountain scenery, it is a unique destination to explore the connection between history and nature. During our visit, we will uncover the mysteries of this ancient cave, learn about its millennia-old history and enjoy the natural surroundings that make it a truly special place.
