The journey begins in Tbilisi, where you'll explore the old town, markets and unique architecture on a guided tour. From there, you'll venture into the stunning Kazbegi region, passing the iconic Ananuri fortress complex. You'll visit magical places like Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia, and the mysterious cave city of Uplistsikhe. In Armenia, you'll be captivated by landmarks such as the Haghpat Monastery, the Geghard complex, and the majestic cathedral of Etchmiadzin. This itinerary is not just a physical journey but also a cultural and spiritual odyssey through two of the world's most fascinating destinations.

Day 1 - Transfer from Tbilisi Airport to the Capital

Day 2 - Tbilisi - Spanish-Language Guided Tour

Rustaveli Avenue

Avenida Rustaveli Rustaveli Avenue, the main artery of Tbilisi, stretches 1.5 kilometres from Freedom Square to Republic Square. This iconic street, named after the medieval poet Shota Rustaveli, is home to the city's most prestigious buildings, including the Parliament of Georgia, the Opera House and the National Museum, all built in neoclassical and Art Nouveau styles during the 19th century. During our walk, we'll soak up the vibrant Georgian cultural life, stop at its elegant historic cafés and admire the monumental architecture as we explore the many shops and art galleries.  

Metekhi Square

Plaza de Metekhi Metekhi Square, one of the most iconic historic sites in Tbilisi, stands on a cliff with sweeping views over the Mtkvari River. This landmark is dominated by the 13th-century church and the equestrian statue of King Vakhtang Gorgasali, the legendary founder of the city. For centuries the square was home to the royal palace, serving as a strategic and cultural hub. Although the original church was built in the 5th century, the structure we see today is a 13th-century reconstruction. On our tour we'll enjoy stunning panoramic views of the old town and the famous bathhouse district, explore the Metekhi Church and delve into the fascinating story of the king whose vision established Tbilisi as Georgia's capital.  

Narikala Fortress

Fortaleza Narikala Narikala Fortress, the iconic symbol of Tbilisi, has dominated the city skyline since the 4th century. This ancient citadel, originally Persian and later expanded by Arabs and Georgians, rises on a steep hill overlooking the Mtkvari River and the old town. Its imposing walls and towers have witnessed the many civilisations that ruled Georgia, including the rebuilt St Nicholas Church from the 12th century. On our visit we'll take the cable car up to the fortress, walk the ancient defensive walls and capture breathtaking panoramic views of Tbilisi as the sun sets over the city.  

Abanotubani

Abanotubani Abanotubani, the historic sulphur bathhouse district in the heart of old Tbilisi, is the original core where the Georgian capital was founded. Located on the right bank of the Mtkvari River, this neighbourhood is famous for its distinctive sulphur baths with brick domes rising from the ground, bearing witness to over 1,500 years of history. The natural thermal waters that bubble up from the earth maintain a constant temperature of 37–40°C, and their healing properties have attracted illustrious visitors such as Alexander Pushkin and Alexandre Dumas. On our visit we'll wander these streets of legendary thermal waters and lose ourselves in the picturesque medieval alleyways that wind between the bathhouses, breathing in the most authentic essence of ancient Tbilisi.  

Anchiskhati

Anchiskhati The Anchiskhati Basilica, Tbilisi's oldest church, has been a vital testament to Georgia's Christian history since the 6th century. Located in the heart of the old town, this sandstone church dedicated to the Nativity of the Virgin Mary takes its name from the miraculous icon of Christ (Anchiskhati) it housed for centuries. Its typically Georgian three-nave basilica architecture is complemented by medieval frescoes and a 17th-century bell tower. During our exploration we'll absorb the mystical atmosphere of the temple, listen to the ancient Georgian polyphonic chants that still resonate within its walls and admire the craftsmanship of its traditional icons.  

Day 3 - Tbilisi - Ananuri - Kazbegi - Tbilisi

Ananuri

Ananuri Ananuri, a stunning medieval fortress 66 kilometres from Tbilisi, rises majestically above the Zhinvali Reservoir on the historic Georgian Military Highway. This 13th-century architectural complex, which served as the seat of the eristavis (dukes) of Aragvi, blends defensive elements with extraordinary examples of Georgian religious architecture, highlighted by its main church with intricate stone reliefs and well-preserved frescoes. On our visit we'll explore the fortified towers, admire panoramic views of the turquoise reservoir and uncover the secrets of medieval Georgian architecture as we stroll through its ancient cobbled courtyards.  

Gergeti Trinity Church

Trinidad de Gergeti The Gergeti Trinity Church stands majestically at 2,170 metres above sea level beneath the shadow of Mount Kazbegi (5,047m). This iconic 14th-century church, set in the historic Khevi region, is one of Georgia's most recognisable symbols, famed for its remote location and traditional Georgian architecture set against the backdrop of the snow-capped Caucasus mountains. On our excursion we'll ride a 4x4 up the winding mountain track, explore the ancient monastic complex and take in panoramic views of the surrounding glaciers and peaks.  

Day 4 - Tbilisi - Mtskheta - Uplistsikhe - Gori - Tbilisi

Svetitskhoveli

Svetitskhoveli Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, located in the ancient capital of Mtskheta, is the spiritual heart of Georgia and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1994. This majestic 11th-century cathedral, built on the site where Christ's robe is said to be buried, is an extraordinary example of medieval Georgian architecture, featuring its tall decorated stone façade, central dome and historic frescoes. During our exploration we'll uncover the many legends surrounding this sacred site, admire the extraordinary ecclesiastical architecture and witness the ancient religious traditions that still live on in this spiritual centre. Uplistsikhe

Uplistsikhe Located in the Kartli region of central Georgia, Uplistsikhe is an ancient rock-cut cave town dating back to the first millennium BC. This extraordinary archaeological complex, considered one of the oldest settlements in the Caucasus, was a major religious and commercial hub on the historic Silk Road. Its architectural structures include pagan temples, Christian basilicas and civic buildings that reflect the unique fusion of Christian and pagan styles. The town is notable for its street network, secret tunnels and an exceptionally well-preserved Roman theatre. On our visit we'll explore the ancient wine cellars, walk along stone-carved alleyways and marvel at the panoramic views of the Mtkvari River from atop this natural acropolis, journeying through more than 3,000 years of Caucasian history. Stalin Museum

Museo de Stalin The Stalin Museum in Gori, the birthplace of the controversial Soviet leader, is one of the last museums in the world dedicated to Josef Stalin. The complex includes the original birthplace home, a Soviet-style palatial building and Stalin's personal railway carriage. The exhibition houses an extensive collection of personal belongings, photographs, historical documents and the dictator's original death mask. On our visit we'll explore the halls that document Stalin's life from his youth in Georgia to his Soviet leadership, examine his luxurious armoured railway carriage and reflect on the complex historical legacy he left in the region. Haghpat Monastery

Founded in the 10th century, this monastery stands out for its harmonious design featuring churches, khachkars and a library that reflect Armenia's cultural and spiritual flourishing in the Middle Ages. Set in a mountainous landscape, Haghpat combines spirituality with a rich historical heritage that draws pilgrims and visitors from around the world. On our visit we'll explore the detailed stone carvings, discover the historical treasures it holds and enjoy the panoramic views that make Haghpat an unforgettable place. Saghmosavank

Saghmosavank Perched high above the spectacular Kasagh River canyon in Armenia's Aragatsotn province, Saghmosavank Monastery is a 13th-century architectural gem. This medieval monastic complex is noted for its extraordinary manuscript library and its gavit decorated with intricate reliefs, making it one of the finest examples of Armenia's cultural flourishing under the Zakarian dynasty. Its strategic position above the gorge and its distinctive reddish volcanic stone make it a unique testament to Armenian religious architecture. On our visit we'll marvel at the panoramic views of the canyon stretching to Mount Aragats, explore the ancient manuscript halls and feel the spiritual energy that permeates every corner of this sacred precinct. City Tour of Yerevan

Famed for its welcoming atmosphere, open-air cafés and views of Mount Ararat, Yerevan is recognised as one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. On our visit we'll stroll its lively streets, explore historic monuments and enjoy genuine Armenian hospitality while sampling local delicacies and appreciating the unique essence of this fascinating city. Garni

Garni Garni, in the Kotayk region of Armenia, is an iconic destination known for its 1st-century pagan temple, unique in the entire South Caucasus. Built in honour of the god Mihr, this Hellenistic temple is an exceptional example of ancient Armenian architecture. Surrounded by stunning scenery including the Azat River gorge and the famous ""Symphony of Stones"", Garni combines history, culture and nature in a spectacular setting. On our visit we'll explore the temple, admire the unique acoustics of the site and hike through the gorge to discover the rock formations that make Garni an unforgettable destination. Geghard

Geghard Geghard, in the Kotayk region of Armenia, is a medieval monastery and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Founded in the 4th century and partly hewn from the rock face, this sacred place is celebrated for its impressive architecture that fuses nature and art. Its name, meaning ""monastery of the lance"", relates to the relic said to have pierced Christ's side. Surrounded by mountain scenery and a mystical atmosphere, Geghard is a symbol of Armenian spirituality. On our visit we'll walk through the rock-carved chapels, admire the intricate engravings and savour the serenity of the setting as we discover its deep history and significance. Etchmiadzin

Echmiadzin Etchmiadzin, known as the Holy See of the Armenian Apostolic Church, is one of the most sacred cities in Armenia. Located in the Armavir region, it is home to the Etchmiadzin Cathedral, considered the oldest Christian church in the world, built in the 4th century. This important spiritual and cultural centre boasts impressive architecture and a rich heritage reflecting Armenia's profound Christian history. It is a must-visit for history and religion enthusiasts. On our visit we'll explore the majestic cathedral, discover religious treasures and immerse ourselves in the sacred atmosphere of this unique place.  

Zvartnots Temple

Templo Zvartnots A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the majestic Zvartnots Temple was built in the 7th century near Etchmiadzin, Armenia, representing the pinnacle of medieval Armenian architecture. This unique monument, whose name means 'Temple of the Vigilant Angels', was distinguished by its innovative three-tiered circular design reaching 45 metres in height, setting new architectural standards for its era. Although now in ruins following its collapse in the 10th century due to an earthquake, its imposing remains, finely carved capitals and pioneering use of arches and vaults demonstrate the sophistication of ancient Armenia. During our exploration we'll walk among the massive columns that once supported this architectural marvel, admire the delicate reliefs of vines and pomegranates and transport ourselves to the splendour of the ancient Kingdom of Armenia with Mount Ararat sketched on the horizon.
