It is an adventure through Georgia, where each day brings a new discovery on this 5-day journey. This carefully designed itinerary takes you along a route that combines millennia of history, breathtaking nature and vibrant culture in the heart of the Caucasus. From the heights of Mount Kazbegi to the shores of the Black Sea, every stop has been selected to offer you an immersive experience of Georgia's rich heritage. You will explore medieval monasteries perched on mountain peaks, ancient cave cities, panoramic ski resorts and the stunning Georgian coast, all while immersing yourself in the legendary local hospitality and exquisite cuisine.

The journey begins with an adventure into the heights of the Caucasus, visiting the historic Djvari Monastery and the majestic Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, then continuing to the mountain region of Kazbegi and the winter sports resort of Gudauri. The route passes through the cave city of Uplistsikhe and historic Gori before reaching Kutaisi, where you will marvel at the architectural gems of Bagrati Cathedral and Gelati Monastery. The journey continues to the modern and vibrant Batumi, where you will have time to explore this jewel of the Black Sea, its boulevards and unique architecture. The adventure culminates with a visit to the extraordinary Dendrological Park and the historic Ubisa Monastery, offering a perfect balance of nature, history and modernity on this unforgettable Georgian journey.

Day 1 - Tbilisi - Djvari - Svetitskhoveli - Kazbegi - Gudauri

Djvari - Monastery of the Cross

Djvari - Monasterio de la cruz The Djvari Monastery, known as the "Monastery of the Cross", is an iconic religious site near Mtskheta, Georgia, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built in the 6th century on top of a hill, this monastery offers stunning panoramic views of the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers. Considered a masterpiece of medieval Georgian architecture, it is a sacred place that symbolises the adoption of Christianity in Georgia. Svetitskhoveli

Svetitskhoveli Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, located in the ancient capital of Mtskheta, represents the spiritual heart of Georgia and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1994. This majestic 11th-century cathedral, built on the site where Christ's robe is said to be buried, is an extraordinary example of medieval Georgian architecture, with its tall decorated stone facade, central dome and historic frescoes. During our exploration, we will uncover the many legends surrounding this sacred place, admire the extraordinary ecclesiastical architecture and witness the ancient religious traditions that still live on in this spiritual centre. Ananuri

Ananuri Ananuri, a stunning medieval fortress 66 kilometres from Tbilisi, rises majestically above the Zhinvali reservoir on the historic Georgian Military Highway. This 13th-century architectural complex, which served as the seat of the eristavis (dukes) of Aragvi, combines defensive features with extraordinary examples of Georgian religious architecture, highlighted by its main church with intricate stone reliefs and well-preserved frescoes. During our visit, we will explore the fortified towers, admire the panoramic views of the turquoise reservoir and discover the secrets of medieval Georgian architecture as we stroll through its ancient cobbled courtyards. Gergeti Trinity Church

Trinidad de Gergeti The Gergeti Trinity Church stands majestically at 2,170 metres in the shadow of Mount Kazbegi (5,047m). This iconic 14th-century church, located in the historic Khevi region, is one of Georgia's most recognisable symbols, renowned for its remote setting and traditional Georgian architecture against the backdrop of the snow-capped Caucasus mountains. During our excursion, we will ascend by 4x4 along the winding mountain road, explore the ancient monastic complex and take in panoramic views of the surrounding glaciers and peaks. Uplistsikhe

Uplistsikhe Located in the Kartli region of central Georgia, Uplistsikhe is an ancient rock-cut cave city dating back to the first millennium BC. This extraordinary archaeological complex, considered one of the oldest settlements in the Caucasus, was an important religious and commercial centre along the historic Silk Road. Its architectural structures include pagan temples, Christian basilicas and civic buildings that reflect the unique fusion of Christian and pagan styles. The city is notable for its street system, secret tunnels and an exceptionally well-preserved Roman theatre. During our visit we will explore the ancient wine cellars, walk through lanes carved from stone and marvel at the panoramic views of the Mtkvari River from atop this natural acropolis, travelling through more than 3,000 years of Caucasian history.  

Stalin Museum

Museo de Stalin The Stalin Museum in Gori, birthplace of the controversial Soviet leader, is one of the last museums in the world dedicated to Josef Stalin. The complex includes the original birthplace, a Soviet palace-style building and Stalin's personal railway carriage. The exhibition houses an extensive collection of personal objects, photographs, historical documents and the original death mask of the dictator. During our visit, we will walk through the halls documenting Stalin's life from his youth in Georgia to his Soviet leadership, examine his luxurious armoured railway carriage and reflect on the complex historical legacy he left in the region.  

Day 3 - Kutaisi - Bagrati - Gelati - Prometheus Cave - Batumi

Kutaisi Agricultural Market

Known for its colourful display of fresh fruits, aromatic spices and artisan products, this market reflects the rich gastronomic culture of the region. As well as being a commercial hub, it offers visitors the chance to experience the hospitality and authenticity of local farmers. During our visit we will stroll through the lively stalls, taste fresh produce and discover the flavours that define traditional Georgian cuisine, all while enjoying the bustling atmosphere of the market. Bagrati Cathedral

Catedral de Bagrati Dominating the Kutaisi skyline from Ukimerioni Hill, the majestic Bagrati Cathedral is a masterpiece of medieval Georgian architecture and a symbol of the country's Golden Age. Built during the reign of King Bagrat III in the 11th century, this Orthodox church exemplifies the grandeur of classic Georgian architectural style with its distinctive central dome and elaborate stone reliefs. Although partly reconstructed in 2012, it remains one of Georgia's most important monuments and was part of the UNESCO World Heritage. During our visit, we will enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Kutaisi from its terraces, admire the architectural details fusing ancient and modern elements, and experience the serenity of this sacred space that has witnessed over a thousand years of history. Gelati Academy

Academia de Gelati Gelati Academy, located in western Georgia near Kutaisi, is one of the most significant cultural centres of the medieval Caucasus. Its impressive frescoes, unique architecture and the Royal Academy stand as testaments to Georgia's Golden Age. Prometheus Cave

Gonio Fortress

Fortaleza de Gonio Gonio Fortress, located near the Black Sea coast a few kilometres from Batumi in Georgia, is a historical monument of great significance. Built during the Roman era, this fortification dates from the 1st century AD and is considered one of the oldest archaeological sites in the country. Famous for its defensive design and its connection to the Silk Road, Gonio also harbours legends related to the tomb of the Apostle Matthias, making it a blend of history and myth. During our visit we will walk along its ancient walls, explore the archaeological museum and uncover the mysteries and legends surrounding this fascinating destination by the Black Sea.

Day 5 - Batumi - Dendrological Park - Ubisa - Tbilisi

Shekvetili Dendrological Park

Parque dendrógico de Shekvetili Shekvetili Dendrological Park is located on the Black Sea coast in the Guria region of Georgia, and is one of the most innovative and modern botanical gardens in the Caucasus. This fascinating green space, opened in 2020, covers 60 hectares and displays more than 200 exotic plant species arranged across different microclimates and themed areas. The park is renowned for its state-of-the-art tropical greenhouse, Japanese gardens and impressive collection of giant bamboo and palms. On our tour, we will marvel at the elevated treetop walkways, explore Georgia's largest hedge maze and enjoy panoramic views from the observation tower that overlooks the entire botanical complex.

Ubisa Monastery

Monasterio Ubisa Ubisa Monastery, situated in the Imereti region of Georgia, is a monastic complex founded in the 9th century. This monastery is famous for its 14th-century frescoes depicting biblical scenes in a distinctive style characteristic of the medieval Georgian school. Surrounded by a serene mountain landscape, Ubisa combines art, spirituality and architecture in an environment that invites contemplation and admiration of its millennia-long history. During our visit we will explore the meticulously preserved frescoes, learn about Georgia's rich spiritual tradition and enjoy the tranquillity that envelops this historic place.
